With its subtly nuanced silhouette, Alexis Mabille’s Fall-Winter 2014/2015 resort collection revisits the house DNA by playing with the designer’s favorite codes.
Like a catchy refrain, a masculine/feminine allure mixes feminine details - lingerie details, knotted ribbons and powdery colors - with forays into menswear staples, such as a pea coat, a tuxedo or tails... Midnight blue becomes the new black. Fabrics are freed from traditional pairings, creating a dialogue between flannels, wool twills and more sensual silks and satins. Lace gives sportswear a touch of frivolity, while movement is structured by college stripes and piping.
This season at Alexis Mabille, the waist is high and form-fitting, yet cuts remain fluid to let the clothes sway delicately. The new and exclusive AM alphabet print punctuates the allure, anchoring the spirit of a house known for its masterful twists on the classics.
